See Lady Gabriella Windsor’s Royal Wedding Portraits at Frogmore House

On Saturday, Lady Gabriella Windsor wed Thomas Kingston at Windsor Castle in front of guests like Prince Harry, Anne Hathaway, Pippa Middleton, Prince Philip, and the Queen herself. The bride wore a dress by Luisa Beccaria.

Their reception was held at Frogmore House—the same location as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s, whose royal wedding occurred almost exactly a year before. And today, the newly married couple released a series of portraits to commemorate the special day, taken by photographer Hugo Burnand.

The first shows the extended Windsor clan posing in the drawing room at Frogmore House. Queen Elizabeth, true to her signature style, wears a bright pink suit. Prince Philip smiles beside her. The room’s lilac color scheme is a nod to the Duchess of Kent. The mother of Queen Victoria lived at Frogmore House from 1840 until her death in 1861. During that time, she redecorated the place substantially, including the drawing room—although future occupants put their own spin on the place: In the 1980s, the royal family renovated the space to “illustrate the principal phases of its occupation.” They based the redecoration off of an 1861 photograph.

The next two portraits show Lady Gabriella and Kingston on the Frogmore House grounds. In one, she is surrounded by her bridesmaids and page boys. A lake, created in the 1790s, makes the setting picture-perfect. A building and a historic mausoleum can be spotted in the background.

In addition to giving a glimpse inside the Windsors’ wedding day, these photos also help royal watchers picture Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex only provided one picture of the night—a black and white shot of the couple watching the fireworks over the lake. But now, one can imagine what that scene looked like in broad daylight. They, too, surely meandered through the Duchess of Kent’s drawing room over the course of the evening.

Princess Eugenie also held her reception there—making Frogmore House quite the royal wedding hotspot.
