Emmanuel Vasquez helped the Gregori High football team become playoff eligible with one of his best performances of the season.

In the Jaguars’ narrow 25-22 Week 10 win over Pitman, the quarterback/defensive back completed 22 of 28 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown and had seven tackles. Gregori earned its fourth victory, qualifying it for the 2024 postseason. The Jaguars will find out Saturday if they were selected in the 12-team bracket Sunday.

The fans noticed his performance against Pitman, voting him The Bee’s Football Week 10 Player of the Week.

Vasquez finished first, collecting 46% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of Johansen’s Ezekiel Rodriguez and his Gregori teammate Alton Williams, who came in second and third, respectively.
