See where Tropical Storm Debby knocked out power in and near Mecklenburg County
As Tropical Storm Debby rumbles up the coast, drenching the Carolinas and prompting flash flood advisories across the two states, it has left thousands without power, according to Duke Energy’s outage map.
The map shows outages in dozens of neighborhoods across Mecklenburg County, where more than 17,000 were without power as of 5:30 p.m.
Debby is expected to drop some five inches of rain in and near Charlotte through Friday, with even more falling on eastern parts of the state. Here is the power outage count as of Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
