Selena Gomez Wears Striking Embroidered Gown and Matching Coat in London
On Saturday, Selena Gomez attended a screening of her new film Emilia Pérez at the BFI Festival. For the event, she was wearing a semi-sheer black gown covered in floral sequin embroidery with a mock turtleneck and scalloped hem. Over the dress, Gomez had on a matching black blazer cape with more silver appliqué. The coat featured shoulder pads that elevated the coat’s sculptural look.
Gomez’s hair was down and she wore sparkling chandelier earrings and several silver rings. For makeup, Gomez had a smokey eye and dark pink lip, creating a dramatic effect. On her feet, she wore a pair of suede black heels over transparent tights.
On Sunday, Gomez attended the Netflix Awards Brunch held for the festival wearing a tweed wool skirt suit in blue plaid. The coat featured belled sleeves and large gold buttons and the skirt covered transparent black tights. She paired the look with black pointed knee-high boots and wore some gold jewelry for accessories.
The star had been displaying her sense of style all week. On Friday, for the film’s London premiere, she wore a red ballgown from Oscar de la Renta. She paired the gown with diamond jewelry and had her hair up in a high ponytail with tendrils around her face.
Gomez has talked recently about her interest in acting over making music, with Emilia Pérez being a departure from her comedy roles in the Wizards of Waverly Place and Only Murders in the Building.
At the London premiere, she told reporters, “I would like [to push myself further], yeah. I would only hope that every movie experience feels like this, whether it's successful or not, I really enjoyed making this film and this process as an actor was a really beautiful one.”
