What Happened Between Chelsea and Bre on SS?Netflix

Selling Sunset season eight is here to fill your life with luxury real estate and some piping hot tea, with The Oppenheim Group and its agents taking the spotlight once again. As well as Chrishell Stause's argument with Amanza Smith's stylist causing tension, there's also drama between Chelsea Lazkani and Bre Tiesi, after Chelsea accuses Bre of sharing allegations about her husband on camera on purpose.

Here's what went down on the Netflix show, and where their relationship with each other stands now.

Wait, remind me what happened between Bre and Chelsea before?

Bre joined the cast of Selling Sunset in season six, and you might remember she and Chelsea came to blows over Chelsea's vocal disdain for Bre’s relationship with Nick Cannon, and her judgments over the way Bre chooses to parent her child.

At the time, Bre told Cosmopolitan UK, "We're all here to film the show, but it's really different when you're making up storylines and you're trying to actually hurt my real life. I think that's a different level.

"There was some questionable stuff with her from the jump, but she always was very fake and pleasant to my face. So it's like, you want to be nice because she comes at you that way. But I definitely had some intuition that something was off with her... I know she wants to make good TV so I respect that as well."

By the end of season seven, though, Chelsea had apologized to Bre, and they were trying to be civil and friendly to each other in the office.

What happens with Bre and Chelsea in Selling Sunset season 8?

Early on in season 8, Bre meets up with Amanda Lynn - who works at a rival estate agency and has a smaller role in Selling Sunset - who alleges she has text proof about damning rumors about Chelsea's husband.

Bre then takes the rumors to Chelsea, telling her, "I know you don't necessarily care for me, but I wouldn't wish this on you or anyone ever. Like I've seriously been there and it's awful. But regardless, it was brought up, she said it, and I feel like you have the right to know."

While Chelsea initially appears grateful to Bre for telling her, she later meets up with Emma and Chrishell, and admits she's been rethinking the situation. Chelsea then shares her concerns that Bre actually planned for the allegations to be shared on camera, as a way to get back at her over the Nick Cannon situation. "It just seems a little bit too perfect unfortunately," Chelsea told Emma and Chrishell. "It’s a very strange situation to be in. Let’s think about it. Of all the people in the world."

Later, she continued, "If you bring something to camera to implode my life — as opposed to just calling me — you will do it on camera. It is really sad. I just want to know what the f—k it is."

Bre denied she purposefully set up the chat to get back at Chelsea, telling Emma "So I have the power to set up a scene? It was Amanda’s decision. None of you would know if I didn’t tell you. So who really had Chelsea’s back from the jump? First of all, I told you I was filming with Amanda. I gave you all the heads-up in advance and you guys were like, ‘OK.’ If you wanted to stop that, that was your moment."

Are Bre and Chelsea friends now?

Unsurprisingly, Bre and Chelsea do not follow each other on social media, and are definitely not friends. Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK on 9th September 2024, Bre said, "I'll never be cool with Chelsea. I've tried that twice now, and you know, we actually had discussed everything, and I thought we were moving forward. And then, you know, this situation happens, and she takes three steps back. She's just being Chelsea, so I'm gonna just let her do her and I just keep mine on my own.

"We're done, we've been done. I honestly was not in a good place with her after last season... I saw season seven and I was like, 'Wow, you really were doing all of this behind my back.' We were talking about doing TikToks together, and coming out, being cool, and just all the things that we had going on... It was definitely hurtful, but not unexpected, so I kind of just know what it is."

At the end of season 8, Bre blows off a lunch with Emma Hernan and Chrishell Stause, and later unfollows Emma on Instagram, indirectly proving she's done with them towing the line between her and Chelsea.

Chelsea, meanwhile, has been retweeting lots of negative things about Bre's behavior in the season, while she also tweeted alleging that Bre was trying to "take her down" - so it's very clear they're not on good terms. Eek.

It's worth noting that Chelsea's husband Jeff has never publicly responded to the rumors that emerged, nor do we ever find out if they are 100% true. We have reached out to Jeff Lazkani for comment.
