Seth Meyers Shares His ‘Favorite’ Trump Response To Being Called ‘Weird’
Seth Meyers wants credit for the whole “Donald Trump is weird” line of attack.
The “Late Night” host had a lot to catch up on when he returned to work on Monday after a three-week break, including Democrats’ new go-to critique of Republicans: They’re weird.
“I have to say, I think my favorite Trump response to being called ‘weird’ is this,” Meyers said.
He aired a clip of Trump speaking on a radio show earlier this month. Trump told the hosts, “Nobody’s ever called me weird. I’m a lot of things, but weird, I’m not.”
“Nobody’s ever? I’ve made a whole career out of it!” Meyers shouted.
“Hey, Democrats. I don’t mind you guys calling Republicans weird, but maybe you throw a citation out there next time you do,” he added. “I don’t want to brag or anything, but we’ve been banging the ‘Republicans are weird’ drum for, like, five years.”
And he had receipts, which he showed off in a supercut.
