Sex Education Season 2 Cast: Meet the New Characters and Who Plays Them

Season 2 of Sex Education introduces a slew of new teen characters that flesh out the show's zany world.

Sex Education's cast is full of amazing actors that brought to life the students of Moordale Secondary during the hit show's first season. Season 2 of the Netflix series premiered on the streaming service this Friday (January 17), bringing back our beloved Otis (Asa Butterfield), Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), and Maeve (Emma Mackey), along with more development around season 1's more low-key characters, including Ola (Patricia Allison), Lily (Tanya Reynolds), and the Untouchables. Fans even get a deeper look into the worlds of the Moordale teachers.

But season 2 of Sex Education also introduces a whole slate of new, heart-stealing characters that flesh out the show's zany world. Check out some of those fresh faces below to find out more about the actors who play them and where you've seen them before (hint hint, Game of Thrones...).

Lino Facioli as Dex

If Dex looks familiar, that's because you'll probably remember actor Lino Facioli as the (recently glowed-up) Robin Arryn from Game of Thrones. A cousin of the Starks, Robin first appeared in season 1 as the bratty kid Lord of the Eyrie but had everyone gooped during the Game of Thrones finale when he resurfaced as a hot young adult.

In Sex Education, Lino plays Dex, a brainy kid on the quiz bowl team who isn't necessarily the nicest to Maeve. He works at the game shop in town and is crushed on by newcomer Viv, and he also happens to be a wizard with a Rubik's Cube (a fact he never lets the other characters forget). Lino was also in the 2010 comedy Get Him to the Greek along with a number of other projects.

Chinenye Ezeudu as Viv

Extremely studious and focused on getting into university (at the expense of forming real friendships), Viv is put in charge of tutoring Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling) after his injury bars him from athletics, specifically the swim team. Viv isn't thrilled by the duty at first, but she ends up getting some advice on how to flirt with Dex from the Moordale Romeo — and Viv also turns out to be quite the impressive friend to Jackson.

She's played by newcomer Chinenye Ezeudu, whose first credit is Sex Education and who will also be in a few episodes of the upcoming Netflix series The Stranger. The video of Chinenye finding out she got the part of Viv is also one of the most heartwarming things ever, so go watch that immediately.

George Robinson as Issac

Sex Education is George Robinson's first major role, one he reportedly left Birmingham University to take. He joins the show as Isaac, Maeve's new neighbor with an extremely dry sense of humor. The two grow closer throughout the second season by being able to talk about their family troubles, and he also shakes things up between Maeve and Otis, setting up one of season 2's biggest lingering cliffhangers.

Sami Outalbali as Rahim

Turning heads at Moordale is Rahim, the suave new transfer student from France who attracts immediate attention from the Untouchables. A lover of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, Rahim wears his heart on his sleeve and takes a liking to Eric, offering a positive, open environment for their relationship to grow — plus, he knows a lot about douching.

Sami, a 20-year-old French actor and model, has been in a number of other TV series in France, including Vive la colo!, Grown Ups, and Netflix's supernatural series Mortel.
