Shocked golfers watch in horror as giant python eats an entire WALLABY on 17th hole

A giant python decided to devour an entire wallaby on the 17th hole of a golf course as horrified players watched on in shock.

The four-metre snake was spotted wrapping itself around its victim on the Paradise Palms golf course in Queensland, Australia, on Saturday morning.

The serpent spent 30 minutes swallowing its meal after grabbing the animal by its head before it rolled onto the green.

Golf course member Robert Willemse, who witnessed the whole gruesome affair, told the Cairns Post: “They [a group of golfers] shouted us over and said there’s a python having a go at a wallaby.

“The python swallowed it and rolled into the creek, then snuck back into the bush. It must have gone for a rest for the next few days.”

Paradise Palms general manager Declan McCollam tried to ease the fears of any potential future visitors.

He said: “The snake is not harmful to humans… when it was finished digesting the wallaby, it went back into the bush.

“The wildlife on Paradise Palms has always been an attraction for golfers, and it is clear that is well and thriving.”
