Shots have been fired at a house in County Londonderry while two people were inside.

It happened on Thursday night around 23:30 BST in Glenvara Drive in Coleraine.

No injuries have been reported.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have described the incident as a "reckless attack".

Det Ch Insp Kerry Brennan said: "We are lucky that we are not investigating a murder this morning. There is no place in society for criminals who think they have the right to put the community at risk in this way."

The PSNI are appealing for anyone who may have "noticed any suspicious activity, or captured dash-cam or doorbell footage, which could help the investigation".
