“Sister Wives”' Christine Brown Recalls the 'Stress Leading Up to' David's First Time Meeting Kody and the Other Wives
Christine gushed that her husband "makes everything just simple and uncomplicated" — even when it comes to meeting her ex-husband and former sister wives
It's safe to say that Christine Brown is relieved that the first meeting between the new man in her life and her ex-husband is firmly in the past.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Sister Wives star admitted there was "a lot of stressing leading up to" her now-husband David Woolley meeting her ex Kody Brown and her former sister wives Meri, Janelle and Robyn, as she teased what viewers can expect from the meeting, which was filmed for the show's 19th season.
"You'll see if there's shots fired, you'll see if there's punches thrown," Christine, 52, said. "We're gonna have to wait and see."
Woolley, 60, explained he handled the meeting by just being himself. "I'm me, and I just be me, and if people don't like it, then I don't know what to do."
When he called it "no big deal," Christine gushed about how her husband's laid-back nature helps ease her own anxiety.
"He makes everything just simple and uncomplicated. That's the vision. He doesn't worry about things or stress about things," she said. "He's really supportive"
Christine's marriage to Woolley — which marks her first legal marriage, as she was only spiritually married to Kody, 55, from whom she split in 2021 — has changed her perspective on a lot of things, but particularly on how she can flourish independently while being happy with someone else.
"I'm more independent and confident than I ever was before being married. I don't even understand it. It's so weird," she told the outlet. "When you find your person — the, 'You actually fulfill my life and you complete me,' all that ridiculous [stuff]. I'm like, 'That's dumb.' No. It's a real thing. It's amazing."
Kody previously told PEOPLE that his ex "falls in love" on the latest season of the TLC series — and he said it was a "real relief" to see it.
"I literally watch the show now and hope it's more about Christine and David than about the rest of us, because they're falling in love," he said. "And it's cute."
He described Woolley as a "little shy" but said it was a "fun experience" watching them fall in love.
"It's just cute. It's fun. It's fun watching them fall in love."
