Janelle Brown is paying tribute to her late son Garrison six months after his death.
On March 5, the 25-year-old was found dead after an apparent suicide, PEOPLE confirmed at the time. The Sister Wives star is now reflecting on his loss with a touching Instagram post on Sept. 5.
"6 months ago today you went away. You come up in my photo memories almost every day," Janelle, 55, began her tribute as she shared a photo of her son hugging her and kissing her cheek. "Sometimes it doesn’t seem like you’re gone. And then I remember I won’t be getting a call or text from you and it all comes rushing back. I know you fought hard but in the end you just couldn’t stay."
"I love you so much and will see you again when my journey is done," she concluded her post.

Janelle and Kody Brown, Garrison's father, confirmed his death in a statement on Instagram, as they wrote, "Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown, He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory."
Along with Garrison, the exes share sons Logan, 29, Hunter, 27, and Gabriel, 22, as well as daughters Madison, 27, and Savanah, 19.
Following Garrison's death, many members of his family have paid tribute to him on social media, including Janelle's former sister wives Christine Brown and Meri Brown, as well as several of his siblings.
In June, Meri, 53, opened up about how the family has been coping with the loss on the Miss Understood Podcast, as she admitted: "There's good days and bad days."
"There's still times where I'll see a picture of Garrison and I'm like, 'Oh, I don't like that this happened. It's really sad,'" she continued. "I just feel so much for Janelle. I watched my mom lose two of her own kids before she passed. It's tragic."
Later that month, Meri shared another update with fans as she revaled that the family has really come together again in the aftermath of Garrison's death.
“We definitely have had our moments where we've been together as a family and celebrated Garrison’s life and those moments have been good and it’s been cool to reconnect with different people that maybe you don’t see all the time,” she said on The Sarah Fraser Show. "Because we're living all over the place now and even the older kids, they've been off and living their lives for many years.”
Meri continued, “It’s good to be able to come back together and see each other and I do think there has been a little bit of healing between some of the relationships that I've seen. That’s kind of cool to see that happen."
The fractures Meri was referring to are in large part due to her, Janelle and Christine's splits from their shared husband, Kody, who is now no longer practices polygamy but remains married to fourth wife Robyn Brown.
Janelle and Kody's separation was announced in December 2022, just over a year after Christine publicized her separation from the patriarch after 25 years of marriage. Meri confirmed her and Kody's split around the same time.
