SIU investigates after Strathroy man bit by OPP police dog

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is investigating an arrest where a man was bitten and injured by a police dog.

The 30-year-old man was bitten by the dog at around 4 a.m. Thursday when Ontario Provincial Police found him hiding in a field near Egremont Drive and Centre Road in Strathroy.

The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were treated.

Three investigators and one forensic investigator have been assigned to the case. The SIU is asking anyone with information about the arrest to contact them.

If someone has a video of the incident they are asked to upload it through the SIU website.
