SLO County sheriff’s deputy injured after hitting RV parked in road, flipping patrol car
A San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured while responding to a service call in Paso Robles on Thursday night after their car hit a parked RV and flipped.
According to Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Tony Cippola, the RV was partially in the roadway after the driver had run out of gas. The vehicle did not have its hazards on, he said.
The patrol vehicle hit the corner of the parked vehicle, and the car rolled onto its side.
Cipolla said the deputy involved in the crash was taken to the hospital and released soon after with minor injuries.
The individual inside the RV at the time of impact was not hurt, he added.
The incident was under investigation.
