SLO man pleads guilty to sexually assaulting 2 children. He could face life in prison

A San Luis Obispo man pleaded guilty on Wednesday to charges he sexually abused two children over a period of two years.

Juan Adriel CambrayMiranda, 42, pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault involving two separate children, including aggravated rape of a child under the age of 14, sexual penetration of a child under the age of 14 and two counts of committing lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office.

The crimes spanned two years, from April 2016 to May 2018, according to the release.

After entering the guilty plea, CambrayMiranda could be sentenced to 80 years to life in state prison, the release said.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 22. He will also be sentenced for a non-related residential burglary that happened May 31, 2021, in San Luis Obispo, according to the release.

The child sexual abuse was investigated by the Atascadero Police Department and the San Luis Obispo Police Department. The burglary was investigated by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
