Smoke. Smog. Sultry. Not a great start for riding, as the air quality is becoming unhealthy, and wildfire smoke from northern Ontario is beginning to mix to the surface on Monday. With persistent northwest flow in the upper levels, expect hazy conditions to continue on and off across most of the week.
MONDAY (RANK: 4TH)
Humid and hazy, and potentially very isolated thunderstorms targeting western GTA
Poor air quality is possible with wildfire smoke mixing to the surface
TUESDAY (RANK: 5TH)
Final muggy day of the week, but more widespread thunderstorm risk along the cold front
Note the gusty westerly winds developing ahead of the frontal system!
Combination of humid conditions, winds and thunderstorms makes this less than ideal riding day
WEDNESDAY (RANK: 1ST)
Gorgeous, sunshine and no humidity in the forecast by the afternoon
High temperatures forecast to be in the mid-20s with the humidex in the upper 20s
Maybe a risk of an AM shower, depending on lingering moisture along front
THURSDAY (RANK: 3RD)
I think our forecast looks a little too pessimistic, it’s possible this could be one of the better riding days - maybe a late-day shower but for the bulk of the day I’d expect to be dry with highs in the low 20s
FRIDAY (RANK: 2ND)
Mostly sunny, temperatures once again in the low 20s, likely an excellent riding day with low humidity with northwest flow aloft
