Snow, ice pellets, freezing rain alert for southern Ontario
Environment Canada has issued a special weather alert for Southern Ontario with snow, ice pellets and freezing rain forecast for Tuesday afternoon.
A low pressure system from the American plains is expected to hit Windsor, Chatham-Kent, Rondeau Park
Leamington and Essex County.
It's supposed to start off with snow or ice pellets, which will chance to freezing rain before temperatures will rise above 0 C and it will change to rain.
Environment Canada said the freezing rain may last for a few hours, which may lead to further alerts or warnings.
General snowfall is expected to be between 5 cm and 10 cm, and could be lower in areas hit by ice pellets or freezing rain.
Environment Canada doesn't say when the precipitation is expected to start.
