Snow warnings end around Saskatoon, continue further north

Environment Canada has ended its snow warning for the city of Saskatoon.

However, areas further north can expect advisories to last into Sunday afternoon.

In the Prince Albert region, the forecast includes total amounts of between 20 and 30 centimetres.

In the north, a band of heavy snow is predicted to fall between the La Ronge and Cumberland House areas, with La Ronge situated on the northern end of the snowfall and Cumberland House receiving the most precipitation.

Road conditions

The government's Highway Hotline reported winter driving conditions on Sunday in parts of the province ranging from the west-central section into the northeast.

The hotline advised against travel on a few routes leading out of Saskatoon including highways 11, 16 and 7.
