A little cold weather didn’t deter talented artists of all ages from pulling out all the stops and building unique and creative creations during the Winter Wonderland snowman competition in Ripley.

Hosted by the Ripley Agricultural Society, there were four categories to compete in, including building a traditional snowman, a themed snowman, valentine snowman and snow art. Ambassador Maddy Gallant acted as judge for the competition.

The winners received prizes from MacDonalds, Tim Hortons, Ripley Variety and Fincher's.

In the traditional snowman competition, first place went to Tommy and Sadie Whitehead, second place went to Mikayla and Summer Gallina and Grace and Charlotte Fludder and third place went to Ruby Nickel.

In the themed snowman competition, Riley and Conor MacInnes took first place, Britney and Dani Pink took second and Rhys Thompson took third.

Paisley Farrell took first place in the valentine snowman competition, while second was awarded to Tyler and Hailey Freer and Kelsey Thompson took third place.

Finally, first place in the snow art competition went to Olivia and Cole Griffin, second place was won by Brianne, Will, Axel and Brette Andrew and third place went to Graeme Ferguson.
