Sofía Vergara Acknowledges Her Life Has Seen 'a Lot of Changes' Since Joe Manganiello Split

Manganiello filed for divorce from the 'Modern Family' alum in July after seven years of marriage

Sofía Vergara is embracing change two months after her split from husband Joe Manganiello.

The Modern Family alum, 51, shared that she is having an “interesting year” and reflected on how she is taking the highs and lows in stride.

"A lot of changes, a lot of good and craziness and bad things happen and good things happen,” she told Entertainment Tonight of her life right now. “You know, what makes life so entertaining and interesting."

"I can't complain. I've had a great, great time,” she added. “There's always time for more good stuff coming."

When asked what’s next for the America's Got Talent judge, she shared, "I mean, my 50s!" 

On July 18, the actress announced in a joint statement she would be separating from the True Blood star after seven years of marriage.

"We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the estranged couple said in their statement to Page Six. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

Manganiello officially filed for divorce two days after the breakup was announced. Per docs obtained by PEOPLE, he cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and listed their date of separation as July 2. He also noted the pair had a prenup, which she later asked the court to enforce.

A source told PEOPLE the actress was “doing excellent" a week after the divorce filing in July.

"She is sad that her marriage didn’t work out, but she feels very fortunate anyway," the source said. "She has a great life that she loves. She is staying at her house for now. Joe is living elsewhere."

The insider added that "there is no drama" between the former couple.

Earlier this month, Vergara revealed that she isn’t turning down any opportunities to have fun and see some of the biggest concerts of the summer, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Karol G.

"I've been lucky!” she previously told Entertainment Tonight. “People have been inviting me out, you know, [I’ve been] trying to have fun. So I've been going everywhere they invite me."
