Soggy B.C. Thursday, sunny Friday, mixed long weekend

Steady rain will come to an end tonight, making way for a sunny Friday, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe. But showers will return for much of the long weekend. The backend of the system that has now brought two straight days of steady rain will slide through later tonight. By the late evening hours westerly winds will kick in behind the cold front, helping to clear it out. Mainly blue skies are on tap for tomorrow across B.C.'s South Coast, but an isolated shower is not out of the question. Periods of rain, along with cooler temperatures will return for Saturday and linger through Sunday. At this point, it looks like the region may get some dry breaks for any Easter egg hunters out there on Sunday. And Monday may even come with some sunny breaks with afternoon highs up to 15 C.
