Sophia Bush and Ex Grant Hughes Both Request Court Waive Spousal Support in Divorce
Five weeks after the 'Chicago PD' and 'One Tree Hill' petitioned to end the couple's 13-month union, Hughes' formal response echoed her request to "terminate (end) the court's ability to award support"
Grant Hughes' response to estranged wife Sophia Bush's divorce filing shows that neither of the exes is requesting spousal support, per legal documents obtained by PEOPLE.
In his own filing on Sept. 8, the entrepreneur request to "terminate (end) the court's ability to award support" to either himself or Bush, 41. He also requested that attorneys' fees be paid by both himself and Bush, which matches the actress's August filing.
Hughes, 42, also listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split and noted their date of separation as June 27, 16 days after the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary on June 11.
Additionally, the filing indicates Hughes “is not certain of the full nature and extent” of his separate property or the couple’s community property and will seek permission from the court to amend his response or provide additional submissions once the assets have been determined.
