Sophie Turner wants to join the Lizzie McGuire revival, and let’s please make this happen

Earlier this month, we learned the Lizzie McGuire Disney+ reboot was put on hold after showrunner Terri Minsky—who was also the showrunner of the original early-2000s series—stepped down from her position. Despite production for the first season being well underway, it turns out that the show cannot actually go on without a showrunner. Thus, all operations have since ceased. We’re upset, and we’re not the only ones. Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones fame is just as saddened by the news—but she has a plan to get things up and running again.

“Lizzie McGuire people,” Turner added, “please reach out to me.”

And, um, Lizzie McGuire people…PLEASE reach out to Sophie Turner.

Though Hilary Duff (Lizzie), Adam Lamberg (Gordo), and Jake Thomas (Matt) all confirmed via social media that they are involved in the spinoff, we haven’t heard anything from Lalaine (OG Miranda). So, that could mean there is a spot open for someone to step in and play Lizzie’s BFF. And that spot hypothetically could be filled by Sophie Turner playing Miranda—or even a new BFF character.

Having seen her BFF-dom with former Thrones costar Maisie Williams, we think Turner definitely has what it takes to fill that potential role.

In Turner’s own words, “that’s the tea.” Lizzie McGuire people, do the right thing. Turner is waiting.
