Blowing snow advisory issued for Fundy, Moncton area

Environment Canada has issued a blowing snow advisory for Fundy National Park and Moncton and southeast New Brunswick.

About 10 centimetres of snow is being forecast but the snow with high winds will make travel hazardous, with reduced visibility and possible whiteout conditions.

Winds will be northeast at 40 km/h gusting to 70 km/h.

It is part of a low pressure system making its way up the eastern seaboard of the United States Sunday that could lead to the nasty weather.

Environment Canada has ended the special weather statement for other areas of southern New Brunswick, including Fredericton and southern York County.

Those regions will still have five to 10 centimetres of snow Monday night.
