Southern Saskatchewan to be hit by more snow

Snowfall warning for southeastern Saskatchewan, with up to 15 centimetres of snow expected in some regions.

It's going to be a white St. Patrick's Day in southern Saskatchewan, with Environment Canada predicting up to 20 centimetres of snow in the southeastern corner of the province.

According to Environment Canada, snowfall warnings exist in the Regina, Fort Qu'Appelle, Lumsden, Moosomin, Estevan and Carlyle areas, as well as regions along the Manitoba and United States borders.

About 10 to 20 centimetres of snow are expected in these areas by Sunday night. South of the Yellowhead Highway, outside the regions with the weather warning, about five to 15 centimetres of snowfall are predicted beginning in the Kindersley area Saturday afternoon.

Along with the snow, strong winds are supposed to move along the southern region of the province Sunday morning, from the west to the east.

If people are traveling in those areas, they should check Highway Hotline before heading out.

Conditions are supposed to begin improving Sunday night.
