Southgate Township services opening up to public

·1 min read

The public can once again enter the Southgate Township office to do business.

A news release said the office re-opened July 5 to only one person at a time, with the familiar restrictions of social distancing and face masks.

Only a limited number of staff are working in the office with more working remotely or from other locations, such as the library, to maintain physical distancing.

All regular services are open at the township transfer stations, although the “Re-Use Centre” remains closed until further notice.

You can call the township office to make an appointment for commissioning of documents.

The outdoor pool in Dundalk is also open – offering private or semi-private lessons, as well as a capped number of registered swimmers in time slots for public swimming.

There is screening on the way in with a one-direction traffic flow and no use of changing rooms with washrooms only for emergencies.

Summer “Kids Rec Soccer” organized by the township will begin on July 17.
