In a span of 3 months, a man sexually assaulted three children, Sumter sheriff says

Three children fell victim to a man’s sexual advances, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He’s now behind bars.

Bradley Alexander Thompson, 20, was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor after the children complained of the assaults to their parents last month, according to a news release.

As deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the allegations, the children were medically examined.

Upon further investigation and forensic interviews, it was determined that Thompson sexually assaulted the children between May and August 2024, the release said. Bradley also admitted to committing the sexual acts.

Thompson was denied bond by Sumter County Magistrate Larry Blanding after being transported to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
