A spiced cookie iced coffee? This popular doughnut shop will open soon in north Macon

A popular doughnut and coffee shop will open Monday in north Macon.

Dunkin’ Donuts at 1400 Bass Road plans to open Monday at 5 a.m. with a soft opening. The location, which will be the company’s fifth shop in Macon-Bibb County, will host a grand opening celebration in the weeks following its opening.

“We’re excited and thrilled to have another store in Macon,” said Harry Patel, a member of The QSR Group, a franchisee of Dunkin’ Donuts. “Come try out the great doughnuts and great drinks.”

Patel particularly recommends the Spiced Cookie Iced Coffee, one of the specialty drinks this holiday season.

The QSR Group announced in August 2017 plans for five Dunkin’ Donuts in the Macon-Bibb County area, two of which will include a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop. The first one opened in 2020 at 4450 Forsyth Road, and the group has since acquired the locations on Tom Hill Senior Boulevard, Gray Highway and Forsyth Street in downtown Macon, Patel said. The group plans to open more locations in the future, he said.

The development at 1400 Bass Road has a multi-tenant retail center in the rear of the development with leasing space available as well as four lots. One of the lots will be home to Dunkin’ Donuts, and another is the location of Colony Bank. Two lots remain available for sale, said King Kemper, partner and associate broker at The Summit Group.

Dunkin’, based in Massachusetts, has more than 13,200 restaurants worldwide in nearly 40 global markets, according to its website. In Georgia alone, Dunkin’ serves customers from more than 270 locations.
