During the NBA discussion series, sports reporter Michelle Beadle said what sounded like a racial slur instead of the Denver team’s name.

“[Nuggets player] Michael Porter Jr. recently said — aw, I don’t like this — that if the n—–,” and then immediately corrected herself, saying “the Nuggets” as her co-hosts, Lou Williams and Chandler Parsons, erupted in laughter. “Don’t try to get me on that,” she said, laughing as well.
As Parsons and Williams teased her about what she said, she responded, “That’s not even a thing! That’s not even a word!”
A spokesperson for FanDuel TV told TVLine that Beadle made a “gaffe,” and directed us to her Instagram story. TVLine has reached out to Beadle’s representative for comment.

The clip above circulated on social media in the days following the broadcast; on Saturday, Beadle posted an Instagram story about the incident, asserting that it was an unfortunate mistake. “The moment you say ‘Nuggets’ incorrectly on television and your entire career flashes… while your cohosts die,” she wrote over a clip from the show, with the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme song playing. “Broadcasting students: Slow down. And enunciate.”
