Stockton college students get bone kits as part of distance learning

Science students at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton have a new and creative way to learn anatomy while being home. About 400 sets of bones will be given out to anatomy students to help them learn the names and locations of the 206 bones that make up the human skeletons. The kits are plastic and were funded by the federal CARES Act. With no on-campus lab classes, it was important to give students a hands-on learning tool, the teacher said. Summer classes have already taken the bones home. When the at-home learning is over, the bones will be returned and then rented out to the next class of students to take home and use.
