Stolen vehicles, drugs seized in Brant County search

A 36-year-old Brant County man is facing charges following the recovery of two stolen vehicles and about $1,500 worth of drugs.

According to a media release, Ontario Provincial Police searched a residence on Madeline Road, west of Brantford, Thursday as part of an investigation into stolen vehicles.

Police say they recovered a 2022 Corvette and a 2021 Honda CRV worth more than $160,000 combined. They also found substances suspected to be cocaine and psilocybin.

The 36-year-old was charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000) and possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

He is scheduled to appear at the Brantford Court of Justice.
