Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita shares dedication for next dance
Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kanda has shared the special tribute behind her upcoming dance.
Appearing on Wednesday's (September 27) episode of It Takes Two alongside dance partner Gorka Márquez, Nikita discussed her upcoming Week 2 dance to the Beyoncé song 'Single Ladies' — revealing the routine is dedicated to single parents, including her own mum.
"I'm dedicating this one to my mum," the radio presenter said told host Janette Manrara of her September 30 dance.
"She's the single woman in my life, she brought me and my sister up on her own... So this one is going out to all the single parents out there that has done everything for their kids. I feel like this is the perfect tribute to my mum."

"What a lovely sentiment," Janette replied, while Gorka added: "All the strong women... Yes to strong women and men."
Also on the show, Nikita praised her dance partner for his support in coaching her with dancing and building fitness, nicknaming their paring "Team Gorkita".
"I am so glad that I've got Gorka," she said. "He's got so much patience with me, I feel like I'm his third child. He's got another kid now."

Nikita confirmed she'd signed up for this year's series of the dancing series back in August during her BBC Asian Network breakfast show, calling it "a dream come true".
"I'm still pinching myself. I don't think it will properly sink in until I step onto the dancefloor," she said. "I can't wait to get glammed up and get out there."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday nights on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights from September 25 on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
