Strictly star endures "tough" first training session ahead of live show
Strictly Come Dancing star Nick Knowles has endured a "tough" first training session ahead of the first live show.
The DIY SOS presenter took to Instagram on Monday (September 9) to give fans an insight into his first one-on-one session with his professional dance partner, who he describes as "amazing".
"So first day of real training, and I've been going about 15 minutes and I've lost about two stone in sweat," Nick said in a Reel from the training room.

"It's proving very tough but enormously enjoyable at the same time. So yeah, real mix of feelings. But my dance partner has been brilliant. You can't find out who that is yet, but very, very soon you will. And she's been amazing.
"And yeah, it's very, very tough trying to get this body to move in ways that it's never moved before. And I'm starting to ache in places where I didn't even know I had places."
Despite the demanding start, Nick went on to explain that he is determined to "stick at it" and "keep dancing".

Fans quickly took to the comments section to share their best wishes ahead of Nick's ballroom debut, with one writing: "You're looking well Nick. Can't wait to see you moving."
"Can't wait to see you on the first show! You'll be amazing," another added, while a third said: "Really can't wait to see you strut your stuff."
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment: "Very brave! Think it's far more tricky for the chaps dancing! Best of luck and no doubt the SOS team will be cheering you on too!"
Viewers will get a first glimpse at Nick's dance moves on Saturday, September 14, during Strictly's 2024 launch show, where we'll finally learn which celebrities and professional dancers have been paired together.

The show will open with an energetic dance number that sees the professionals board a party bus bound for the ballroom.
The routine, which has been choreographed by Strictly's creative director Jason Gilkison, is set to a variety of dance anthems, including 'We Like to Party!' by Vengaboys and 'Pump Up the Jam' by Technotronic.
Gilkison has also created a special routine that honours Strictly legend Amy Dowden, who returns to the show following a year-long battle with breast cancer.
Strictly Come Dancing will return on Saturday, September 14 on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
