What did you miss?
Strictly star Wynne Evans had This Morning's hosts in fits of laughter as he showed off his "slug" dance move on the show.
The singer was on the ITV programme ahead of his debut on the BBC ballroom show this weekend, and shared that his friends had joked about blackmailing him with videos of his less than impressive signature dance trick. So he decided to get ahead of it and perform it for This Morning for hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.
Quipping that his routine was like a "rubbish version" of breakdancer Raygun at the Olympics, he dropped to the floor and started slithering across the carpet, leaving the presenters laughing and Deeley giggling about throwing salt on him.
What, how and why?
Evans told the hosts that he cracks out "the slug", his version of "the worm", after a few drinks. "All my mates have said to me that if they want to blackmail me at any point they will bust out some videos of me doing The Slug when I’ve been slightly tipsy so I thought, why hide it," he said.
Referring to the controversy at this year's Olympics – where Australian entrant Raygun delivered a controversial routine that divided opinion – he said: "So you remember the breakdancer from the Olympics? This is like a rubbish version of her."
"Do you want to see it?" he asked, before dropping to the floor and doing a slow and awkward version of The Worm, or Caterpillar move.
The presenters couldn't stop laughing, and Shephard declared: "I’m going to vote for you Wynne!" But Deeley confessed: "I don’t know whether to vote for you or put salt on you!"
Wynne Evans lost seven stone before Strictly
The GoCompare ad star also told how Strictly had come at the right time for him, as he has shed seven stone. "I just did it, like one day I just thought, 'This is it'," he said.
"I started a little bit of running, well walking actually at the start because I was 24 stone, and then I just kind of slowly lost weight. So when the call came from Strictly I thought, 'This is the right spot' and now I want to lose a bit more."
Evans also confessed that he's battling the nerves ahead of his debut on the dancefloor. He told the presenters that while the stage was usually a "safe space" for him, it is very different when he is doing something outside of his comfort zone.
"It's like a whole new language," he said. "It is that kind of build up where you kind of go, 'This is the sweet spot' because you haven't messed it up, this is the bit where you are kind of going, 'I'm doing rather well' because nothing has been on the television."
"I am absolutely terrified," Evans said. "I’ve done like one of those wees in your pants, those accidental ones where you go, 'Oh I shouldn’t have done that - whoopsies!' I’m like that constantly.
"I’m also at the same time like a competition winner, like any moment now they are going to ask me to leave the studio because that moment has passed, I’ve had my picture with all the celebs, go home and do my own thing."
Strictly's new series starts on 14 September on BBC One.
