Strictly's Adam Peaty announces engagement to Holly Ramsay
Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Peaty has popped the question to girlfriend Holly Ramsay.
The Olympic swimmer, who competed on the BBC dance show with Katya Jones in 2021, announced the couple's engagement in a heartfelt post on Instagram, with Holly - daughter of TV chef Gordon Ramsay - proudly showing off her ring.
"I can’t believe you’re going to be my wife," his post caption began. "I’m truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side. You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace."

"You have been with me when I’ve been at my lowest and helped me understand myself to navigate my own darkness," he continued. "You have also celebrated the highs, which have been so many, as for the first time in my life, I’m happy with the man I’ve become."
Adam went on to thank Holly's family for always treating him so "generously with their time, emotion and trust" and said he's looking forward to joining the Ramsay clan.
The three-time Gold-medal Olympian also praised Holly for being a great stepmother to his son George, who he shares from his previous relationship with Eiri Munro.
"Seeing you show the love you give to the most important person in my life, George, even from day one, there was never a question about you becoming my wife one day," he added, signing off: "I’m looking forward to our life together and the many challenges we’ll face."

Holly's sister Tilly Ramsay, who was a contestant on Strictly with Adam in 2021, was one of many to comment on the news. "Wohooooo so happy for you guys," she wrote alongside a love heart emoji.
Strictly professional dancers Karen Hauer, Neil Jones and Nancy Xu also shared their congratulations to the couple on Adam's Instagram post.
Adam and Holly are believed to have started dating in late 2022, with Holly confirming their romance in June 2023. Adam split from his former girlfriend Eiri Munro in August 2022.
Strictly Come Dancing will return on Saturday, September 14 on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
