Weather balloons are essential to weather forecasting, but it takes a lot of coordination to send them up—and to track the data they capture. The Weather Network's Kyle Brittain attached some cameras to a weather balloon to get a better picture of how the process works, and the results were very dramatic.
OTTAWA — Sven Spengemann has resigned as the Liberal member of Parliament for Mississauga-Lakeshore. In a statement Wednesday, Spengemann says he is stepping down to once again serve with the United Nations. Former U.S. Marine Trevor Reed described his experience in a Russian psychiatric facility in an interview broadcast on Friday, detailing squalid conditions amid severely mentally ill inmates. Reed, detained in Russia in 2019, was freed on April 28 in a prisoner swap that took place amid the most tense bilateral relations in decades over the war in Ukraine.
