A Surfside Beach restaurant caught fire early Friday morning, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

Fire crews responded to a multi-unit commercial property, which included Roma Ray Italian Market and Bakery, 1856 US 17 Business, at 1:34 a.m., an Horry County Fire Rescue Facebook post said.

The fire was contained to the roof area and extinguished, the post said. There were no injuries.

The deli and bakery opened in June and serves bread, desserts and deli items. It is unknown if the restaurant will be open Friday. A phone call to the bakery was not answered Friday morning.
