Alleged Twitter threats lead to Walkerville lockdown, arrest

Windsor police have a male suspected of making threats against Walkerville Collegiate in custody.

The school was locked down shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday.

A spokesperson for the Greater Essex District School Board said “unspecified threats” were made against the school.

Windsor police say the suspect, a 16-year-old, allegedly made a post on Twitter threatening to shoot up the school.

The suspect was taken into custody in the Bruce Avenue and Hannah Street area around noon.
