Suspect in a deadly Columbus shooting arrested in Dallas, local police say
A 48-year-old man has been arrested in a fatal Columbus shooting, according to the Columbus Police Department.
Marcus Harris was arrested in the death of Derrick Jordan, 39. Jordan was found shot in the 300 block of 12th Street in May, police said. Jordan was taken to a hospital but later died. Harris was identified as the suspect through investigation, and was apprehended in Dallas on Sept. 17, police said.
Harris was charged with murder and possessing a gun during the commission of a crime. He was extradited to Columbus Friday and is expected to appear in court Wednesday, police said.
