Suspects arrested after bystanders film late-night assault in MS Coast park, police say
Gulfport Police have arrested four suspects accused in an assault and armed robbery last week in Jones Park.
Police were called to an assault at the park at 2:47 a.m September 22. Officers found an adult victim, and witnesses said a group of suspects physically assaulted the victim, police said.
Authorities rushed the victim to a hospital with “serious injuries,” police said.
Witnesses gave police cell phone videos of the incident and police said the suspects were armed with a handgun as they robbed the victim.
Police arrested four suspects in connection to the incident: Kadin Jacob Walker, 20, of Bay St. Louis, Samuel David Dwyer, 19, of Waveland, Ayden Paul Christophe, 19, of Bay St. Louis and Benny Ray Williams III, 19, of Waveland.
All face charges of aggravated assault and armed robbery.
The suspects are held in the Harrison County jail on bonds $500,000 each.
