  • ¾ cup whole milk

  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup yellow cornmeal

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted and cooled

  • 3 strips of bacon, fried and crumbled

  • 1 stick butter, melted (for honey butter)

  • ½ cup honey (for honey butter)

  1. Mix 2 tablespoons of honey, the whole milk, and the eggs in a bowl until combined. Then, set the bowl aside.
