Taylor Swift's publicist denies rumors of secret Joe Alwyn marriage

"This is an insane thing to post," Tree Paine said of Deuxmoi's latest gossip about the pop star.

Internet gossip about celebrities shouldn't always be taken at face value. That's what Taylor Swift's publicist Tree Paine set out to remind people of when she publicly disputed a Deuxmoi report on Thursday night.

Instagram account Deuxmoi, which shares both anonymous gossip tips from followers and their own guesses posted earlier this week a claim that Swift and her ex Joe Alwyn had secretly gotten (unofficially?) married: "She DID have a ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me as a 'marriage' by more than one person."

That was too much for Paine.

"Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi," Paine wrote on Twitter. "There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these."

Swift and Alwyn dated for six years before breaking up this April. It was one of the star's more private relationships, though songs like "Lavender Haze" and "Delicate" seem to contain oblique references. Swift has since started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in a relationship that has garnered much media attention — probably too much.
