Teacher makes half-court shot in playground to earn class treats
A third-grade teacher from the Washington, D.C. area has hit the internet by storm for making an incredible long-distance shot to earn her class some holiday treats.
Kathleen Fitzpatrick, the teacher in the wide-spread video, was having fun with her class on the school playground of Holy Trinity School in Georgetown, when a final decision was made. She told the class that if she made a half-court shot, the entire class would be able to spend their final bit of school time before the holidays with a cup of hot chocolate.
Of course, Ms. Fitz the shot.
A moment those kids will never forget 🥰

Watching this over and over, focusing on a different child’s reaction each time. https://t.co/mrFT8azlhH

Teachers deserve a bazillion dollars a year. Also, Ms. Fitz has crazy range… https://t.co/RXZzm6Tfz1

There is a reason why Fitzpatrick has “crazy range.” Not only did she bring her talents to the playground, but Kathleen Fitzpatrick spent three seasons at St. Joseph’s University – leading the team in three pointers and free throw percentage in two of them – and finished her collegiate career at Rutgers University. She is a shooter.
Who needs a clutch game-winning shot to win a championship when you can get hot chocolate instead?
