Ottawa Senators forward Clarke MacArthur returned to the ice last night less than three months after the team said he was done for the season.
MacArthur hasn't played an NHL game in 18 months while he battled symptoms of post-concussion syndrome.
On Tuesday, the veteran played just under 10 minutes in a 2-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings.
MacArthur, who turns 32 on Thursday, was named the game's third star. He fought tears as fans cheered him on, as well as during a post-game interview (which you can see in the video above).
Sens fans also shared their emotions on Twitter.
