There's now some good news for book lovers.
All three branches of the New Tecumseth Public Library are now open for visitors.
As of July 5, the library has moved into Step 2 of the province's Road to Re-open, offering a browse, borrow, and go strategy.
Although the branches are open there are still protocols in place that patrons are expected to follow.
Visitors are asked to keep their time in the library to a minimum when arriving to borrow materials and use computers.
There will be a maximum of ten people permitted inside a branch at one time and face masks must be worn when inside the library.
Limited socially-distanced computers will be available for express use only.
The library will continue to offer curbside pickup for those that don't want to enter the building.
You can pick up a maximum of ten items per card with books, movies, audio books, and magazines available.
You can contact any branch to make a request and library staff will contact you to schedule pickup arrangement. You need an active library membership to take advantage of curbside pickup. Patrons without a library membership can call or visit any branch to set up a membership.
Curbside pickup is available in Alliston and Beeton from Monday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In Tottenham, curbside pickup hours are Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Branch visiting hours for Brows, Borrow and Go will be Alliston: Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Beeton, Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tottenham, Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
