‘Ted Lasso’ Star Hannah Waddingham’s ‘Tiddler’ Unveils First Look – Global Bulletin
FISH FABLE
The BBC and Magic Light Pictures have released a first look at their Christmas animated adventure, “Tiddler,” adapted from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler‘s picture book for BBC iPlayer and BBC One. The story follows a little fish with a big imagination who gets lost in the ocean and is saved by his storytelling.
Hannah Waddingham leads the cast as narrator, stating: “The books and films of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler have been, without a doubt, the greatest cornerstone of my daughter’s and my life together. They are the most beautiful marriage of animation and voice, perfectly cast.”

The voice cast includes Lolly Adefope, Jayde Adams, Rob Brydon, and child actors Reuben Kirby and Theo Fraser. Directed by Andy Martin and Alex Bain, written by Michael Bohnenstingl, and produced by Barney Goodland and Martin Pope, the film was acquired by Charlotte Moore and Nawfal Faizullah for the BBC.
“Tiddler” marks the 12th Donaldson and Scheffler animated special on the BBC. Last year’s “Tabby McTat” drew 8.6 million viewers.
WORKPLACE WATCHDOG
The BBC has commissioned Change Associates to conduct an independent review of its workplace culture, focusing on power dynamics and adherence to corporate values. Led by Change Associates’ executive chair Grahame Russell, the review will assess progress since the 2013 Respect at Work Review and propose practical steps to bolster workplace culture. The review aims to reinforce understanding of BBC’s values, ensure consistent handling of misconduct, and improve transparency in complaint processes. A final report with actionable recommendations is expected by spring 2025.
ROARING RETURN
Director Rohit Shetty will re-release his 2011 hit “Singham,” headlined by Ajay Devgn, in theaters across India on Oct. 18. The move comes ahead of the upcoming Diwali holiday (Nov. 1) release of “Singham Again,” the latest entry in Shetty’s cop franchise film series. The re-release aims to capitalize on fan interest and refresh audiences on the franchise’s origins before the new instalment debuts.
