Teen arrested after making social media threats of a shooting at Troup High School
A 15-year-old has been arrested after threats were made against a school in Troup County, according to a news release from the LaGrange Police Department.
Police said they received on Sept. 11 information posted to social media regarding threats to “shoot Troup High School.”
An investigation began into the threat. Police said an arrest was made Tuesday of a 15-year-old male who was enrolled in the local school system.
The suspect was transported to the LaGrange Police Department and charged with felony terroristic threats, according to the release.
Police said no weapons were found during a search of the residence.
