This Tennessee Mom Is the Ultimate Disney Parks Fanatic — and Has the Christmas Tree to Prove It

Think you’re the ultimate Disney fan? This mom might have you beat — just look at her Christmas tree!

Tabitha Dafni, a 35-year-old Disney Parks Moms Panelist from Spring Hill, Tennessee, fell in love with Disney vacations as a kid, and is still falling for the magic to this day. The brand has grown with her, she says, helping her make lifelong memories from childhood through adulthood, and now as a mom to a beautiful son and daughter.

Dafni began collecting Disney-inspired Christmas ornaments in 2008 as a way to preserve these memories, finding herself as a newlywed with a tree full of plain, bulk ornaments. Now, after more than a decade of marriage, Dafni and her husband have more than 30 Disney ornaments decorating their annual tree, 20 of which came directly from a visit to a Disney park.

“My husband and I love souvenirs that both mean something to us and are useful. We also both love Christmas, so we were instantly drawn to ornaments,” the mother of two said of their collecting efforts.

Though she never dreamed her first ornament purchase would turn into a collection this awe-inspiring, Dafni says getting them out to decorate the tree and being filled with nostalgia is one of her favorite parts of the holiday.

“Once a year we are able to pull each piece out and talk about the story behind each one,” she says. “They all have a special memory attached.”

Her favorite one to revisit? “I would probably say my runDisney ornament that I bought when I ran the Walt Disney World Marathon,” the Disney Parks Moms Panelist says. “It was my first marathon and one of my proudest moments. Having that sneaker-shaped ornament on our Christmas tree reminds me of the joy, and relief, I felt crossing the finish line!”
