Tennis Players Taylor Fritz and Matteo Berrettini Walk in Milan Fashion Week
Milan Fashion Week is underway, and at the Boss show this morning, two tennis stars walked the runway: Taylor Fritz and Matteo Berrettini.
The message of the show, according to designer Marco Falcioni, was to get out of the office. "Being the boss means taking time off to rest. Resting is the ultimate luxury," he said, per the Associated Press.
Both players are Boss ambassadors. "The fashion off the court is something I've really been into," Fritz told T&C last month of his relationship with the brand, "as well as just having clothes on court that I feel like are fitting really nicely, stuff that I really enjoy wearing on the court. It's a company that's working very closely with me to make things the right way and how it feels good for me. It's been amazing so far."
"Tennis fashion has become a big thing," he added. "A lot of people like to do the tennis looks, and a lot of brands as well have gotten into that. It works because it's stuff that you can wear to play tennis and stuff that you can wear when you're not playing tennis, so it just works for everything. I definitely think that fashion in tennis is becoming bigger and bigger."
Fritz led the models in the show today:
The two players faced each other most recently in the second round of the U.S. Open; Fritz triumphed over Berrettini in straight sets, and went on to make it all the way to the finals. Though he lost the championship to another Italian, Jannik Sinner, it was his first time ever in a Grand Slam final.
