Tennis superstars pay collective tribute to Britain's Andy Murray

Tennis' top tier of star professionals paid tribute to Andy Murray in a video aired after his epic comeback but ultimate defeat at the Australian Open on Monday (January 14). Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Caroline Wozniacki and Novak Djokovic and others told Murray how much he means to them as a professional, and as an individual. Murray's hopes of a fairytale swansong at Melbourne Park were crushed in the first round as Roberto Bautista Agut held off a thrilling fightback from the ailing Briton to claim a 6-4 6-4 6-7(5) 6-7(4) 6-2 victory. Though locked in a losing battle with his troublesome right hip, the former world number one whipped the Melbourne Arena crowd into a frenzy as he battled back from two sets down to push the match into a fifth. On Friday (January 11), a teary-eyed Murray said the Australian Open could be his last tournament as a professional and the tournament organisers arranged a video featuring a lot of the top players who paid their respects to the 31-year-old. However, Murray did leave the door ajar after the video was played saying he would do everything possible to try and win play in next year's Australian Open.
