Romi Frentescu is being held on two counts of capital murder
A Texas man is accused of fatally shooting a father and son before telling a woman performing CPR on the victims to stop helping them, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by multiple outlets.
Romi Frentescu is being held in McLennan County Jail on two counts of capital murder, according to jail records.
According to an arrest affidavit cited by the Waco Tribune, KWTX and KCEN, police in Bruceville-Eddy, Texas, say they responded to a woman performing CPR on a bleeding man on Saturday, Oct. 5. Police say the woman told officers that she had stopped to perform chest compressions when a man in a truck stopped and told her to quit rendering aid because he wanted the man to die before he left the scene, according to the outlets.
The outlets reported that the man was later identified as Frentescu.
The victims were identified as Michael Morris, 38, and Braxton Johnson, 18, a father and son, according to KWTX.

Police say Frentescu himself called 911 to say he had been jumped and that he was going home, according to the reported affidavit. Frentescu allegedly told police upon questioning that a man had "flipped him off", the outlets reported.
The outlets further reported, citing the affidavit, that Frentescu told police he followed the man and told him to leave him alone before a fight broke out.
Frentescu then allegedly said he was threatened with a knife after the fight started and that he was on the ground when he began firing his gun, according to the reported affidavit.
It is not immediately clear if Frentescu has been formally charged or if he has entered a plea. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
